About the Role

Requirements:

Entry-level position with experience writing for online or broadcast media
Excellent AP Style writing, editing,, proofreading & copy-editing skills
Superb communication skills
Basic video and graphic production skills
Sound news judgment and ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a team
Interest in digital metrics and preferably has experience with Google Analytics, CrowdTangle and Chartbeat.
Interest in learning to edit using Edius & Adobe Spark

12News, the digital content leader in Southeast Texas, is searching for a full-time Digital Content Producer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a vision for what local news should be on digital, social and OTT streaming platforms.

This person will have an audience-first approach to produce and distribute 12News editorial content throughout our various digital and social platforms. We are looking for someone who can produce quality content through social listening and having a pulse on community interests.

Our digital content team are leaders in the newsroom, producing breaking news as well enterprise content. Social listening and being plugged into the community are a must.
